The R\u0026amp;D process began with reverse engineering the OEM Can-Am Maverick R intake manifold and analyzing its features. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) testing was conducted at stock boost and elevated boost pressures. As boost pressure rises, flow becomes less stable. Turbulent flow leads to cylinder imbalance, which can cause a variation in air being delivered to each cylinder.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe OEM plenum was also designed to make maximum power at a lower RPM than we typically run our Maverick R tunes - especially with upgraded valvetrain and big turbo systems.
