After relentless development for the last 3-4 months and with testing finally complete, this is the ultimate sleeper performance add-on to your Maverick R. The EVP Maverick R Paragon Turbocharger Upgrade starts life as the OEM BRP turbo. Some people may ask why not put one of our other P46, P50, or some other Garrett-type universal turbo. The answer is we wanted to make a top-performing system capable of 400+ WHP but make it easy and relatively inexpensive to utilize all of the components that customers may have already purchased, such as charge tubes, exhaust, intake, etc.
Unlike the X3 turbocharger, the Maverick R is already a ball-bearing CHRA. When we measured the wheels on the OEM turbocharger, we saw that the OEM turbine size was adequate to flow much more than was possible with the stock compressor wheel. After testing a number of compressor profiles, we found that a compressor wheel with a 46.5 inducer was best suited to the engine characteristics. Spool time is almost identical to stock with a top end that does not quit. You can see from the Dyno graph how the power comes on very close to the stock turbo, but then skyrockets once we get into the meat of the power band of the engine. The tuning that will be released initially is approximately 355 WHP, as measured on our Dynojet 224 LCX. Our Mainline dyno reads approximately 2-3% higher than the Dynojet, so dyno numbers will be 365 hub HP if measured on the hub dyno. Even though more power is available than we are releasing the kit with, the testing we have done at this power level has proven to be reliable for the engine and transmission. As we get more data at higher power levels, additional tunes may be available. For customers that already have our Maverick R E85 setup, the only additional components that are needed are as follows: EVP Injectors, EVP Plenum Clamp, EVP HFI Intake, EVP 4 Bar Map Sensors. In addition, all Maverick R P47 Turbo Upgrades will include transmission tuning with launch control as an option. The tunes available initially will be 91, 109 and E85. Lastly, every Paragon turbocharger is serialized and carries an industry exclusive 6-month limited warranty.
